leaking awesome.
Goldfish tee for a friend. The idea is that the fish are alive and swimming around the tshirt... like those magic photos in Harry Potter books. They're also watercolor, my favourite medium. I enjoy the haphazardness.
moral of the story: NEVER BUY AVERY STRETCHABLE IRON ON T SHIRT TRANSFERS. THEY ARE CRAP. the normal avery iron-on transfers are fine, and godsend after several hapless attempts at getting the former to cooperate.

Her daddy used to hang with Johnny Coltrane
this weeks graphic for the linkkkk. it was done in a very short period of time and initially started out as a sketch. it turned out ok though, so now I'm submitting it as my final graphic. reminds me of ads Calvin Klein underwear was doing for a while, with illustrations of models. I really liked that campaign.
ps: i am personnally very impressed with myself, because this was done fully in pen, no erasing allowed. BOOYAH MANUAL DEXTERITY. in yo face robotman. i can remember a time when this would have been impossible even in pencil for me. I have come a long way as an illustrator, and will become even better as time passes! HUZZAH

Hang Tight Guys
Stuff is pending. real great stuff.
by the by, I'd like to give a shout out to Gavin's eyebrows, because they make me blush and they make me dream. They inspire me. They are scribbled in the corners of pages. They are appended to the drawing of any face to create insta-Gavin caricatures.
They make me dizzy with libidinousness and are the color of flawless obsidian.

I like LIsts
1) refill color ink in printer
2) decide whether or not, and how to have stuff flowing off fins.
3) figure out something portfolio worthy to do with SUPERSCULPEY
4) figure out the snow white photoshoot idea.
5) go check up with the link.
6) vectorize goldfish
7) finish greyhound painting
8) assemble list of plausible portfolio bits
9) bring computer to computerstore

grey-tipped
in the name of the moon
i was tired. when my brain is too tired to even try... i revert to old faithful.
it's what I do best kiddos. :)
after all, I did find my beginnings in drawing Sailor Moon cartoons.
good night!
[3 second sketches, women women women, faces faces faces, flowing hair flowing hair flowing hairrrr everywhereeee]

i LOVE lanky figures, don't you?
Walt Disney's 101 Dalmatians
the first 20min are genius and I love the drawing style. (why is it that the beginnings of movies are always the best. or does that say something about my personality? more thought to be given to this...)
reminds me of the sketches accompanying an old St Trinian's novel I found in the used book rack. (RONALD SEARLE HOW I WORSHIP THEEEEEE)
Cruella De Vil's character is pure genius.

whatever happened to fashion design?
i'll think about that later...
and I should do something with this:
also some apprehensions about my portfolio: this whole time I have been so focused on acquiring skills in as many mediums and domains as possible. what if this ruins me? what if my portfolio comes off as scattered, lacking in direction? how can I remedy this? i need to think a little, because it is quite late in the game to start new projects that seem more in tune with eachother. i need to find a way to make what I have currently coherent. comments?
i promise myself to have bought the final notebook/folder/support materials that will house my portfolio.
note to self: learn flash.
